Attendance
Every school day counts
We are proud that our attendance rate is higher than the national and county average. We are required by law to keep a record of reasons for children's absence from school.
The Government made amendments to the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006 which came into force on 1st September 2013. These state that Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence for holidays during the term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Parents needing leave of absence for exceptional circumstances should complete a form at least two weeks before the anticipated start date. The reason for the request should be given in detail.
If absence becomes a concern, the Education Welfare Service may get involved to resolve any problems.
Please ensure all absences are reported. Click here for more information on reporting absences. If you do not inform us of your child’s absence, we will give a first day of absence response call, asking why your child is absent.
The School Day

Lunchtime - 11:45 - 12:15pm
Main School
School gates open at 8:35am
Registration at 8:45am
Lunchtime 12:00 - 1:00pm
End of the school day 3:15pm
Any child arriving after 8.45am should report to the school office to be marked in the register. If children are even 5 minutes late, they can miss the introduction to activities and feel that they are not part of their class. Please make sure that you are punctual!
